Inquiry in Physical Science Education examines how using inquiry-based teaching and learning strategies can improve students' understanding of atomic and molecular structure and other topics in physical science.
Course Objectives
- Explore how to bring the scientific process into the classroom as a teaching and learning tool
- Understand and apply the essential elements of classroom inquiry
Course Syllabus
Session 1:
Processes of Science
Participants examine how scientists investigate the natural world, and how teachers and students can apply scientific inquiry to better understand physical science.
Session 2:
Inquiry in Science and Learning
Participants explore how the nature and sequence of learning opportunities improve students' understanding of physical science.
