Resource:

The resource page provides access to the media resource and includes information to help you use it effectively. In the upper right corner of the page, you can find the recommended grade range for use of this resource.

Click the "View" button to launch the media resource in a pop-up window.

Next to the "View" button is a short description of the resource. In some cases, alternate media links are available. These may include such items as a printable set of instructions for an activity, a closely related document, or an individual image within a video.


Background Essay and Questions for Discussion:

A background essay provides information that will help you and your students better understand and use the media resource. Other tabbed links in this area provide questions for discussion and educational standards correlations.


Standards:

Click "Standards" to view a tab that displays state and national standards correlations for this particular resource. You will see state standards for the state where your school or organization is located (as indicated when you registered or modified your profile).


Topics and Lesson Plans:

Click one of the "Topics Covered" links to find other resources on a topic. Click the "Lesson Plan" links to display one or more Teachers' Domain lesson plans that make use of this resource.


Saving to a Folder:

Click "Save to a folder" below the resource image in order to place a link to this resource into one of your resource folders. You will see a pull-down menu of folders you have created using "Manage My Folders." (You automatically have a folder called "My Resources.") Select a folder, and then click "Save." You can navigate to a folder using the "My Folders" pull-down menu.

Here you will find information about the video program, Web site, or other original material on which this resource is based and acknowledgment of the organization that produced the resource.
