open Transcript

[JOAN CARTAN-HANSEN] Water is always on the move. The constant movement of water is called the water cycle. When the sun heats water in the ocean some of it evaporates forming clouds. The water falls to the earth as rain, sleet, hail or snow. Some in the lakes and rivers and some of it falls into the ground becoming ground water. Over time the water in the rivers and the ground water travels back to the oceans completing the water cycle.
