The Inventing Flight video series explores the history and development of flight with special focus on the Wright Brothers from Dayton, Ohio, the inventors of the first practical airplane. In this video episode, your host takes you on a tour around the world through the history of the dream of flight. From the story of Icarus in Greek Mythology, through the age of Chinese kites, on to Leonardo da Vinci's flying designs, French balloonists, and the Gossamer Albatross' historic human propelled flight across the English Channel in the 1970s, we see how flight has captured our imagination, affected our history, and brought us into the new millennium.
