Discussion Questions: Build a Bridge
Draw sketches for each type of bridge. Can you illustrate the compression and tension (pushes and pulls) in each? Why is one type of bridge better than another for a given location/geography? How might engineers adapt bridges to more complex locations? What factors might make an engineer combine some of the bridge types?
