The GED® Geometry Professional Development Course is designed to help you review and build your skills and knowledge of geometry concepts, including measurement; lines, angles, and triangles; perimeter, area, and volume; and the coordinate plane. This course will also help you prepare your learners for the GED Mathematics Test, as geometry accounts for approximately 20%-30% of the questions on the test.

The course consists of four self-paced modules, each containing four to eight lessons. Each lesson builds on the previous one(s), enabling you to connect prior learning to new concepts. Lessons also include teaching tips, interactive practice activities, video segments from the KET series “GED Connection,” a skill summary sheet, sample GED questions, and a glossary of key terms.

Start with the pre-assessment to identify your current geometry skill level. You don’t have to complete the entire course at one time, and you may not need to complete all modules. The post-assessment measures your geometry proficiency after completion of the course. When you achieve a score of 85% or higher on the post-assessment, you can print a certificate documenting your success in the course.

Standard Grid

Some problems on the GED® Mathematics Test require the use of a Standard Grid. In this PDF, you will see the Standard Grid and receive instructions on how to use it.
