Literacy 360
Special Collection
The Literacy 360 Alliance is comprised of the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at the University of Maryland, the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop, Sirius Thinking, Ltd., the Success for All Foundation, and WGBH Educational Foundation. We are working to achieve a breakthrough in enhancing literacy and language development for at-risk children, by creating a community to disseminate our partners’ media into different settings, and by making sure that children will be able to benefit from a continuous program of literacy activities throughout the day that are intentionally related and supported by a caring adult.
This collection shows examples of the types of resources that the Alliance might gather into a Literacy 360 portal powered by Teachers' Domain, to support the literacy activities promoted by the project.
Funding for the Literacy 360 pilot was provided by The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
